More than 1500 people visited the “I Playmobil Exhibition in Carcaixent”

On October 27, 28, and 29, the “I Playmobil Exhibition” was held with great success in Carcaixent (Valencia). The exhibition attracted 1,587 attendees, who enjoyed the diorama area, market, and workshops.

Additionally, 396 families participated in the ‘Hidden Click’ contest. Over the course of 2 days, we provided training to184 children in the circular economy in the toy sector, with a focus on toy recovery, repair, and reuse.

Furthermore, a container of toys was filled for the “Crecer Jugando” foundation. Thanks to this initiative, the social work carried out by the ‘ILADE’ Special Employment Center has been supported. The toys are processed and classified: Those that pass internal controls are destined for ‘NGOs’, while the remaining toys are managed by an authorized waste manager.

During the Exhibition, Circular Economy Workshops were organized on October 28 and 29 in the toy sector, aimed at children. In these two days, 184 children were trained in the circular economy in the toy sector, emphasizing the recovery, repair, and reuse of toys.

The content of the workshops was as follows:

1. Training in circular economy and safety in the toy sector
Active participation in the manufacturing process training, use of plastic and recycled raw materials (with a focus on plastic recycling), followed by toy safety and its CE marking. Also, in this segment of the workshop, significant emphasis is placed on waste segregation and separation in different containers, considering both a domestic and day-to-day perspective.

2. Toy repair and recycling
Participation in toy repair by showing disassembly and replacement of damaged parts, followed by reassembling and repairing the dolls to give them a new life. All participants received their Junior Expert Card in Circular Economy as recognition of their involvement.

3. Toy assembly and disassembly competition

Participation in contests for assembling and disassembling toy dolls, awarding a small prize to the winners of the competition.

4. During the workshops, children donated toys to give them a second life.

They were deposited in a container provided by the “Crecer Jugando” foundation. Thanks to this initiative, the social work carried out by the ‘ILADE’ Special Employment Center has been supported. The toys are processed and classified: Those that pass internal controls are destined for ‘NGOs’, while the remaining toys are managed by an authorized waste manager.
